From the 30th April to the 7th May we celebrated the Comenius Week. On the 7th of May we organised an exhibition of different things made of recyclable materials that our pupils had done from the beginning of the school year: bookmarks, plastic vases, toys, bags, decorations, Christmas and Easter cards, Easter eggs, robots, purses, Polish – English dictionary of Recycling and Environment made by one of our pupils (her name is Klaudia Nowakowska, Year 4F), dolls etc. Here are some photos. Dissemination activities
On the 27th of April our school celebrated the 20th anniversary. It was a very good opportunity to disseminate our work in the project. We presented all the partner schools and a short PowerPoint presentation of all our activities.
We invited local authorities, local press, head teachers from other schools, some officials from the Ministry of Education, parents, pupils etc. We also sent an invitation to the National Agency.
It was great day for all of us. Here are some photos.
Happy Easter – WESOŁYCH ŚWIĄT from Poland !!!

In March, all the pupils of the Year 4 together with their teacher of Design and Technology were making beautiful Easter eggs from recyclable materials. Then they prepared special “vases” (plastic bottles wrapped in old newspapers) and put the colourful eggs into them. Finally, they made a wonderful Easter decoration on one of the school corridors.
Easter Cards

In March, the pupils of the year “4f” made Easter cards from recyclable materials such as old newspapers, plastic, buttons, artificial flowers, cardboard and pieces of different cloth.
The cards have been sent to ill people staying in one of the hospices in Warsaw.
After watching WALL-E all the pupils in our school – from the first to the sixth grade discussed the problem of recycling, consuming too much and producing too much litter.
They decided not only to draw pictures, but also to prepare exhibitions on the school corridors showing the problem. In such a way our students wanted to make aware both the children and their parents who visit our school coming to so called “parents evening” of the effects of waste on nature and the need to preserve the natural environment clean of rubbish and pollution.

The European Day of Languages

During the last week of September our pupils were preparing posters and presentations about countries of our partners in the project (Spain, Great Britain, Turkey). First, they presented their work in the classrooms in front of their peers. In that way we started celebrating the Week of Foreign Languages.
A Green Day at our School – “Cleaning Up the World”

On the 16th of September our School took part in the global action called “Cleaning up the World”. This year the action was connected with the International Year of Forests.
